SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Three Samford student-athletes earned Southern Conference Athlete of the Week honors when the league released its weekly track and field awards Wednesday afternoon.
Bradley Franklin was named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week.
Bryce Davis was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week and
Lindsey Havens earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
At the Crimson Tide Invitational last week, each of the three student-athletes had stellar performances. Franklin won the men's 110-meter hurdles, running the race in 13.58 seconds. Davis competed in the men's hammer throw, producing a throw of 55.67 meters. Havens competed in the women's pole vault, with a height of 3.93 meters.
Next up, Samford will compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational and the Tom Jones Invitational at the University of Florida this weekend.
