Samford Wraps Up Action At Crimson Tide Invitational

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Samford men's and women's track and field teams opened the month of April at the Alabama-hosted Crimson Tide Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at Sam Bailey Stadium.

In total, nine Samford student-athletes placed in the top three in six different events during the meet. A pair of Bulldogs earned event wins with freshman Zephaniah Carico-McLennan winning the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:47.64 and Harper McGowan running a time of 17:04.66 to take home the women's 5,000-meter title.

A full list of Samford's top three finishers is below.

Samford will next compete in the Troy Invitational. The meet is slated for April 12-13 in Troy, Alabama.
