BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Samford volleyball team will play two conference matches on the road at Western Carolina and Chattanooga.
The match against Western Carolina is on Friday Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. and the match against Chattanooga is scheduled for Saturday Oct. 11 at 3 p.m.
Samford continues conference play with an overall record of 5-10 and a conference record of 0-4. The Bulldogs look to earn their first conference win this weekend, with their most recent match being a loss against ETSU at home.
Samford was led in last week's conference matches by
Ally Cordes with 34 kills, while
Sydney Waller followed 25 kills. Cordes is third in the conference in service aces with 22.
Samford and WCU have met 44 previous times, with Samford dominating the series 34-9 series lead. The teams played two times last year, with Samford taking both matches.
Samford and Chattanooga have played 57 previous times, with Chattanooga leading the series, 36-21. Last season, the Bulldogs and Mocs split the two meetings. The Mocs Sydney Jackwin leads the conference in service aces with 26.
The Bulldogs match against WCU will not be broadcasted but can be followed via Live Stats, their match against Chattanooga on Saturday will be streamed live on ESPN+ .
