Gainesville, Fla. - The Samford women's basketball team dropped its second road contest of the season, falling 87–40 to the Florida Gators on Thursday evening at the Exactech Arena.
NOTABLES
Sophomore guard
Briana Rivera was the leading scorer for the Bulldogs with 10 points. She made three three-pointers during the game. She has led the bulldogs in scoring for the first three games of the season.
Sierra Godbolt led the team in assists during her first start of the season with three while scoring six points. Francis Morris was the team's leading rebounder with six and also scored six points. Freshmen
Kaylee Yarbrough scored six points in the second half.
A total of seven Bulldogs scored during the game.
This was the Bulldogs second game of four this season against Power 4 teams. They will play Alabama and Mississippi State later in the season.
UP NEXT
Bulldogs will play Florida A&M University in Tallahassee on Saturday November 15th. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. tip from the Al Lawson Center.
