BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Samford women's basketball heads back on the road tomorrow to face USC Upstate in non-conference action. Samford enters the contest with a 4–8 mark against non-conference opponents, looking to bounce back after a hard-fought overtime loss to North Alabama at home.
Despite the setback, the Bulldogs continue to have high scoring individual performances. Freshman Kaylee Yarbrough had a career high 20-point game against North Alabama coming off the bench, Freshman Francie Morris followed with 12 points and six rebounds.
Sophomore Briana Rivera continues to lead the nation in three-pointers made and paces Samford in scoring, with 149 points so far on the season.
USC Upstate is currently 4-7 on their season with their most recent loss coming from Samford's conference opponent UNCG, 70-39. Cassie Gallagher leads the Spartans in scoring with averaging 16 pints per game. They are in their 4th season under Jason Williams.
Tip off from Spartanburg, S.C. is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN + and can be followed via Live Stats.
