BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford baseball team dropped an 11-8 decision in 10 innings in the second game of a three-game series with Creighton Saturday afternoon at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
"This was another really good college baseball game that unfortunately we came out on the wrong end of," Samford head coach Tony David said. "Creighton has a really good team. They don't help you much on the mound or on defense. You have to earn every inch."
With the loss, Samford fell to 13-14 on the season. Creighton improved to 16-6 with the win.
Samford was led at the plate by
Cade Carr, going 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI.

"We drove some balls out of the park today, but like yesterday, a lot were solo shots," David said. "This was a really good game defensively for both sides. They did a great job in the 10
