BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford University recently held a reception at the home of President Dr. Beck A. Taylor to honor the women's tennis team for its CHAMPS Cup championship for the 2024-25 athletic season.
Dr. Taylor opened his home to host an awards reception and present the women's tennis team with its trophy for winning the inaugural CHAMPS Cup competition. Dr. Taylor shared a few remarks to recognize and celebrate the team and then an official photo was taken with the team and the President.
The CHAMPS Cup will annually recognize and honor the team that best represents what it means to be involved on campus and in the community. This competition celebrates the student-athletes who create a sense of pride throughout the Bulldog community through their support of each other, academic success in the classroom and community outreach. Teams earn points for these different categories.
