ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Samford rising junior golfer
Gabi Nicastro tied for fifth after two rounds of stroke play at the Women's Western Amateur Wednesday at Red Run Golf Club.
With her performance, Nicastro made the cut to advance to match play. The top 32 players will now compete in match play beginning Thursday, with the event continuing through Sunday.
In Wednesday's second round, Nicastro shot an even par 72, bringing her two-round total to 140 (68-72) to tie her for fifth in the 120-player field.
