MONROE, La. – The Samford women's golf team is in second place after the first two rounds of the ULM Invitational, played Monday at Bayou Desiard Country Club.
As a team, Samford has a two-round score of six-over-par 582 (287-295) to place second in the 14-team field. The host school, Louisiana-Monroe leads the tournament with a two-round total of 577 (284-293).
Individually for Samford,
Grace Engel (67-74) and
Gabi Nicastro (74-67) are both tied for third in the 84-player field with identical scores of three-under-par 141.
Kate Joyner is tied for 20
th with a two-round score of 149 (75-74), while
Anika Richards is tied for 30
th at 151 (71-80).
Anne Reaves Skinner sits in 81
st with a score of 170 (85-85).
