BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Home games against Auburn and UAB, road games at Alabama and Notre Dame and the always tough Southern Conference slate highlight the Samford soccer team's 2026 schedule, released by head coach
Todd Yelton Tuesday afternoon.
To kick things off, Samford will play a pair of exhibition games on the road, playing at Ole Miss on Aug. 4 and at Western Kentucky on Aug. 7.
The Bulldogs will open the regular season with a contest at Notre Dame on Aug. 12. The team will then play its home opener by hosting Belmont on Aug. 16, at 6 p.m. at Shauna Yelton Field. The Bulldogs will then host Georgia State on Aug. 20, at 6 p.m.
Samford will play at South Alabama on Aug. 23, before hosting Jacksonville State on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs will play at Alabama on Sept. 3, before wrapping up non-conference play with home games against Auburn on Sept. 6, at 5 p.m. and UAB on Sept. 10, at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs will open Southern Conference play with a contest at Western Carolina on Sept. 20. The team will then host back-to-back games against Mercer on Sept. 25, at 6 p.m. and against Wofford on Oct. 1, also at 6 p.m.
Samford will play at ETSU on Oct. 4, followed by a home game against Furman on Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs will play at Chattanooga on Oct. 15 and then the team will host new SoCon member Tennessee Tech on Oct. 18, at 1 p.m.
The Bulldogs will play at The Citadel on Oct. 23 and then will host UNC Greensboro on Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. Samford will wrap up the regular season on Nov. 1, with a game at VMI.
The Southern Conference Tournament will begin on Nov. 5 with the opening round, followed by the quarterfinals on Nov. 8, semifinals on Nov. 13 and the championship game on Nov. 15. All SoCon Tournament games will be played at campus sites.
