2010 OUTDOOR SOCON CHAMPION - POLE VAULT
2010 SOCON ALL-FRESHMAN
2012 (Junior): Indoor: Competed in seven meets … finished eighth in the pole vault at the SoCon Championships with a season-best height of 11-1.75 (3.40m) … placed in the top ten in all but two meets during the season.
Outdoor: Competed in six meets … tied a personal-best in the pole vault at the Samford Multi (11-7.75, 3.55m) … placed sixth at the SoCon Championships (11-3.75, 3.45m).
2011 (Sophomore): Indoor: Competed in five meets, placing in the top five in all of them ... earned All-SoCon honors with a second-place showing at the conference meet, clearing a personal-best 11-11.75 (3.65m) for the second time that season ... won the pole vault at the Blue Raider Invite (11-6, 3.50m) ... placed second at the Tiger Tune Up (11-6.25, 3.51m) and fifth at the Niswonger Invite (11-11.75, 3.65m) and JRF Cimbined meet (11-3.75, 3.45m).
Outdoor: Competed in seven meets during the season ... earned team points at the SoCon Championships, finishing fourth (11-1.75, 3.40m) ... won the pole vault at the Southern Invite (11-5.75, 3.50m).
2010 (Freshman): Indoor: Competed in four meets in the indoor season...made a tremendous contribution to the vault group as a true freshman...tied with fellow Bulldog Mary Barron for 14th place at the Niswonger Invitational (Jan. 22-23) with a vault of 10-10...placed fourth at the MTSU Invitational (Feb. 5-6) with a vault of 11-06 followed by a fourth place finish at the Tiger Paw Invitational (Feb. 12-13) with a vault of 11-04.50...rounded out her first collegiate indoor season with a fourth place finish at the SoCon Championships (Feb. 26-27) with a vault of 11-01.75 to earn All-Freshman honors.
Outdoor: Competed in five outdoor meets for the Bulldogs...began the season with a second place finish at the BSC Invitational (March 13) with a vault of 10-11.75...set a personal best and placed seventh with a vault of 11-05.75 at the Alabama Relays (March 25-28), then set a new personal best a week later at the Tiger Track Classic (April 2-3) with a vault of 11-07.75 to win the individual title...placed ninth at the Ole Miss Invitational (April 10) with a vault of 11-05.75 followed by her best performance of the year at the SoCon Championships (April 23-24) where she won the pole vault with a mark of 11-05.75 to earn All-Freshman honors.
High School: One of three locals who joins the team in 2010 ... personal best in the event is 11-06.00 ... placed second in the 6A pole vault in 2008 and 2009 ... holds all girls pole vault records ... placed in the top 20 in the 2009 Junior Olympics ... was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta ... graduated with a 4.2 GPA.
Personal: Born September 20, 1990...daughter of Steve and Janet Bedsole ... her brother, Robert, ran track and cross country at North Carolina State ... majoring in chemistry ...aspires to be a chemist.
