2012 (Sophomore): Indoor: Competed in four meets … set new personal bests in the mile (5:31.58), 800 (2:32.21) and 3,000 meters (10:59.40).  Outdoor: Competed in four meets … ran a personal-best 11:56.04 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to win the event at the Samford Multi … scored team points with an eighth-place finish in the steeplechase at the SoCon Championships (12:11.83).

2011 (Freshman): Indoor: Competed in the mile run twice during the season, running 5:37.24 at the Tiger Tune Up and a personal-best 5:31.94 at the Blue Raider Invitational. Outdoor: Competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase three times ... earned a PR in the event at the SoCon Championships (12:15.88) ... finished third at the Southern Invite (12:33.49) and 15th at the Alabama Relays (12:37.28).

High School: Named Hewitt-Trussville High School[apos]s 2010 Female Athlete of the Year...qualified for the state track meet in four events as a senior...a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta...named to the Birmingham News All-Academic Team in 2009 and 2010.

Personal: Born June 18, 1992...daughter of Terry and Kim Sims...majoring in biology on pre-veterinary track.
