TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The Samford University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA South Regionals on Friday, Nov. 14, for a chance to travel to the NCAA Championships held in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Arsène Guillorell pacing the group with a 14
th place finish; the field consisted of 160 competitors. Guillorell notched a personal-best time of 30:53.60 in the event.
Junior Adam Jones followed up Guillorell's time with a 31:24.90 finish in the event. This was the first time the men had run a 10k event this season and finished with an average time of 32:13.52.
The women posted a 22
nd place finish at the meet with an average time of 21:53.78 in the challenging 6k event. The Bulldogs have only ran this distance once during the season but the team responded well by shaving chunks of seconds off of their previous times.
Freshman Karisa Nelson led the way yet again with Samford's top time as she cruised to a 92
nd place finish with a time of 21:26.60 which was nearly 45 seconds faster than her previous 6k time of 22:11.50 which was recorded on Sept. 26, at the UNC-Charlotte Invitational.
Nelson wasn't the only Bulldog to shave multiple seconds off of their previous 6k time. Rachel Wooten, Ansley Bos, Emma Garner and Katelyn Brock each saw dramatic improvements in their times by dropping not only seconds but each dropped their time over a minute.
