BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford University softball team has rescheduled its doubleheader against Austin Peay State University due to the possibility of unfavorable weather conditions. The contest originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The Bulldogs are still on schedule to host the 2014 Samford Invitational Tournament this weekend starting Friday, Feb. 14, with play set to conclude on Sunday, Feb. 16. SU will open play against Belmont University on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday the Bulldogs are scheduled to play two games; SU will first take on the University of Evansville at 1:30 p.m. then take on Eastern Kentucky University at 4 p.m.

Samford will wrap up the tournament with a rematch against Belmont on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
