AUBURN, Ala. -- The undefeated Samford University women's tennis team will continue play in its 2014 spring dual-match season Sunday at 5 p.m. (CST) as the Bulldogs square off against the nation's 21st-ranked Auburn Tigers at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

Samford (2-0) heads into Sunday's contest with a full head of steam after opening its 2014 campaign with lopsided home victories against Kennesaw State, 7-0, and Middle Tennessee, 6-1.

In the Bulldogs' key non-conference win over Middle Tennessee on Jan. 31, Samford swept the doubles point to earn an early 1-0 advantage. In singles play, the Bulldogs then received quick straight-set victories from No. 72-ranked Stephanie N'tcha, Emily Mallory and Lauren Caballero to secure the team win.

Additionally, Samford's Yasmeen Ebada and Jessica Northcutt both tallied three-set triumphs over their Blue Raider counterparts on courts No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.

The Bulldogs' Caballero, Ebada, N'tcha and Northcutt all own unblemished 2-0 records in singles play this season as Samford boasts a near-perfect 11-1 record in the competition

In doubles play this season, the Bulldogs have yet to lose a single match.

No. 21 Auburn (2-1) will host Georgia Southern at 11 a.m., Sunday prior to its match against Samford at 5 p.m., at the City of Auburn/Auburn University Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The Tigers are coming off an eight-day layoff after sweeping Troy, 7-0, on Feb. 1. Auburn has continued to put together strong performances in doubles play this season. The Tigers have yet to drop the doubles point in their three matches this season.

Auburn's pairing of Michala Kucharova and Reka Muller moved to 3-0 in the dual-match season with a 6-0 victory in No. 2 doubles against Troy. Senior Jackie Kasler picked up her 128th career win as a Tiger in Auburn's victory over the Trojans, moving her into fifth in combined wins in school history. Kasler and teammate Jen Pfeifler secured the doubles point against Troy on Feb. 1.

Following Sunday's key road opener at No. 21 Auburn, the Samford University women's tennis team will remain on the road Wednesday for another Southern Regional contest at Southern Miss to be held at 2 p.m. (CST) in Hattiesburg, Miss.
