BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford University volleyball team takes to the road for the third straight weekend as the team is set to take part in the Jaguar Invitational hosted by the University of South Alabama on Sept. 11
th & 12
th, at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Alabama.
The Bulldogs (2-2) enter this weekend's invitational after an intense five-set victory over Tennessee State this past Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee. Redshirt freshman
Kate Neisler competed in her first full collegiate match at showed out to record her first career double-double with 19 kills (3.80 k/s) and 11 digs (2.2 d/s). The win brought Samford to an even .500 record on the season.
Sophomore transfer
Morgan St. Germain will look to keep building on her solid start at Samford. During the opening weekend of play, St. Germain was named the SoCon's Defensive Player of the Week and currently sits with a team leading 73 digs (4.56 d/s).
Samford has recieved significant production from the middles so far this season as the trio of senior

Kiahna Wicks are the most efficient group of attackers on the court. Meitz leads the team with a .431 attack percentage while Wicks sits at .429. Russell and Meitz have both hit the double-digit mark in total blocks this season as well.
