AUBURN, Ala.--The Samford women's tennis team will look to continue its strong start to the season when the Bulldogs play at Auburn Saturday at 12 p.m.
 
Samford enters the match with a record of 1-0. The Bulldogs opened the spring season with a 7-0 home-court win over Jackson State on Jan. 24.
 
In the win over Jackson State, Samford swept the doubles matches, and the Bulldogs won all of the singles matches in straight sets. Jessica Northcutt at the No. 1 spot and Ellie Gerlach at No. 4, each earned 6-0, 6-0 sweeps.
 
Carita Moolman (6-3, 6-0), Iva Parapunova (6-2, 6-0), Savannah Wood (6-1, 6-1) and Annika Hepp (6-1) each earned singles victories in the win over Jackson State.
 
Auburn enters the match with a record of 2-1. The Tigers defeated UAB, 7-0, and Michigan State, 4-0, before falling at Miami by a score of 4-2.
 
The teams met last season in a match played at the Samford Tennis Complex. Auburn, ranked 28^th at the time, swept the match by a score of 4-0.
