BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--The Samford men's tennis team will play host to Southern Mississippi Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Samford Tennis Complex.

Samford enters the match with a record of 2-2 so far this season. The Bulldogs are coming off a 7-0 win over in-state rival Jacksonville State on Feb. 7.

In the win over Jacksonville State, Samford won the doubles point, two matches to one. In singles, Samford won all six matches, with five coming in straight sets.

Fares Kilani has played at the No. 1 spot so far this season for Samford and has a record of 2-2.
Trey Carter has been playing at the No. 2 position and also has a mark of 2-2. At No. 3,
Justin Ghavami has a record of 2-1 so far this season.

Leonard Gerch has stepped in at the No. 4 spot and is 1-2 entering this weekend.
Eduardo Lourido Sanchez has a record of 1-1 at No. 5, while
Jake Faundez is 2-0 at No. 6.

Southern Mississippi enters the match with a record of 4-2. The Golden Eagles are coming off a 4-1 win at South Alabama on Nov. 6. Prior to Saturday's match, Southern Miss will play at UAB Friday morning.
