BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--The Samford women's tennis team will host the 25
th-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Samford Tennis Complex.

Samford enters the match with a record of 3-3. The Bulldogs have earned wins over Jackson State (7-0), Kennesaw State (7-0) and UAB (4-3) so far this season.

In the win over UAB on Wednesday, Samford won the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. In singles, the teams split the six matches. Samford earned wins at the No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 positions, while UAB earned victories at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4.

So far this season,
Jessica Northcutt (2-4) has been Samford's entry at the No. 1 singles position.
Carita Moolman (3-3) has played at the No. 2 spot, with
Iva Parapunova (2-4) playing at No. 3,
Ellie Gerlach (3-3) at No. 4,
Savannah Wood (4-2) at No. 5 and
Annika Hepp (3-3) at No. 6.

Moolman and Northcutt have played together at No. 1 doubles, posting a record of 4-1. Gerlach and Hepp have a record of 4-2 at No. 2 doubles, while Parapunova and Wood are 3-2 at the No. 3 spot.

Mississippi State enters the match with a record of 5-1. MSU is coming off a pair of wins over New Mexico and DePaul in a tournament in Minneapolis, Minn., Feb. 6-7.

Samford and Mississippi State met last season in Starkville, Miss. In that match, MSU earned a 4-1 victory over Samford.
