BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--The Samford men's tennis team will host a pair of matches Sunday at the Samford Tennis Complex. The Bulldogs will host Eastern Kentucky Sunday at 10 a.m., and Birmingham-Southern at 2:30 p.m.

Samford enters the weekend with a record of 3-3. The Bulldogs are 3-0 at home so far this season, with wins over Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State and Southern Mississippi.

Fares Kilani (3-3) has played at the No. 1 singles position in each of Samford's matches so far.
Trey Carter (3-3) has competed at the No. 2 spot, while
Justin Ghavami (3-2) has played at the No. 3 position for the Bulldogs.

Leonard Gerch (1-3) has played at No. 4, while
Eduardo Lourido Sanchez (1-2) has competed at the No. 5 spot. Samford's No. 6 singles player has been
Jake Faundez (2-1).

In doubles, Carter and Gerch (3-3) has been Samford's entry at the No. 1 spot. Ghavami and Kilani (1-3) have competed at No. 2, while Faundez and Sanchez (3-1) have played at No. 3 doubles.

Eastern Kentucky enters the weekend with a record of 7-6. The Colonels have won their last six matches in a row, and they are coming off a 7-0 win over University of the Cumberlands. EKU will play at Chattanooga Saturday afternoon.

Birmingham-Southern is currently 3-0 on the young season. The Panthers are coming off an 8-1 win at Covenant. BSC plays at Point University Saturday afternoon.
