BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team will play at Wofford Saturday, and at Furman Sunday, with both matches set for 12 p.m.
Samford enters the weekend with a record of 8-9 overall and 3-1 in SoCon action. Samford is coming off a 6-1 loss at East Tennessee State last Sunday.
So far this season, the Bulldogs have been led by seniors
Jessica Northcutt and
Carita Moolman. As a doubles pair playing at the No. 1 position, Northcutt and Moolman have a record of 11-5.
Northcutt also plays at the No. 1 spot in singles, posting a record of 5-11. Moolman has a mark of 8-7 at No. 2 singles.
Senior
Iva Parapunova has played every match at No. 3 singles, and has a record of 6-11.
Ellie Gerlach has a record of 8-8 (5-6 at No. 4, 3-2 at No. 5).
Savannah Wood boasts a mark of 10-7 (3-3 at No. 4, 7-4 at No. 5).
Annika Hepp has a record of 6-5, all at No. 6, while
Georgina Jupp is 2-2 at No. 6 singles.
Wofford enters Saturday's match with a mark of 9-6 overall and 1-3 in SoCon matches. The Terriers are coming off a 6-1 loss at Chattanooga last Saturday.
Furman is currently 11-8 overall and 4-0 in SoCon play. The Paladins are coming off a 6-1 win at Western Carolina on Wednesday. Furman also hosts Chattanooga on Saturday.
