BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team will host Arkansas State Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Samford Tennis Complex.
Samford enters the match with a record of 5-3. The Bulldogs are coming off a 7-0 loss at Georgia State Wednesday.
Samford's
Annika Hepp and
Elsa Pool have both posted records of 5-3 to lead the Bulldogs so far this season. Hepp is 1-0 at No. 4 singles, 2-1 at No. 5 and 2-2 at No. 6. Pool has a mark of 2-0 at No. 2 and 3-3 at No. 3 singles.
Ellie Gerlach and
Arianna Beltrame both have records of 4-4 (Gerlach is 1-1 at No. 1, 3-3 at No. 2, Beltrame is 2-3 at No. 4, 2-1 at No. 5).
Nadine de Villiers has a record of 3-3 (2-0 at No. 3, 0-2 at No. 4 and 1-1 at No. 5).
Savannah Wood has compiled a mark of 2-4, all at No. 1 singles.
Georgina Jupp is currently 2-0, all at No. 6 singles, while
Grace Jennings is 0-1 at No. 6.
Arkansas State has a record of 0-6 on the young season. The Red Wolves are coming off a 6-1 loss at Eastern Kentucky last Saturday.
