ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- The Samford University basketball team will continue its quest for the 2017 SoCon Tournament championship Saturday at 5 p.m. (CT) as the Bulldogs face the No. 2-seeded Furman Paladins in a key matchup to be held at the U.S. Cellular Center. Samford advanced to the second round of the SoCon Tournament with a decisive 79-61 victory against VMI on Friday. Furman has won both games against Samford this season; 83-73 in Birmingham, Ala., and 90-73 in Greenville, S.C.
