KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Samford men's basketball team had an individual earn recognition as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), which announced its Division I All-District teams. Samford guard
Jadin Booth was named Southeast District Second-Team.
Booth had a historic season in his lone year with the Bulldogs as a graduate. He averaged 21.6 points per game, leading the Southern Conference. The Nebraska native led the country with 127 made three pointers, which set a Samford school record. He scored over 30 points on five different occasions, including a season-high 40 points in a win over UNCG where he hit a school record 11 three pointers. Booth finished shooting 45 percent from the floor, 44 percent from three, and 87 percent from the free-throw line. He was named Samford's first SoCon Player of the Year and was also named Newcomer of the Year.
The Bulldogs ended their season after entering the SoCon Tournament as the number three seed in the tournament before falling to Furman 86-81.
