BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis will host the University of Alabama in Huntsville Friday at 6 p.m. in the Samford Tennis Center. The Bulldogs will then play at Mississippi State Sunday at 12 p.m. in Starkville, Miss.
Samford enters the weekend with a record of 2-0. The Bulldogs are coming off a 6-1 win over Belmont last Friday. Samford opened the season with a 6-1 win over Kennesaw State the week before.
In the win over Belmont, Samford swept the three doubles matches to earn the first point of the match.
In singles, Samford earned wins at the No. 1, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spots to come away with the 6-1 win.

Arianna Beltrame each earned a singles victory to lead the team to the 6-1 win.
Friday's match will mark the spring season opener for UAH. The Chargers posted a record of 9-13 during the 2017 spring campaign.
Mississippi State is currently 2-2 on the young season. The MSU Bulldogs are coming off a 4-3 loss to UNLV last Saturday.
Friday's match is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the Samford Tennis Center. Admission to the match is FREE.
