BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team will host Georgia State Friday at 3 p.m., and play at Auburn Saturday at 6 p.m.
Samford enters the weekend with a record of 3-3 on the young season. The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-3 loss at Middle Tennessee last Friday.
Senior
Ellie Gerlach has held down the No. 1 singles position for Samford so far this season, posting a record of 2-4. Senior transfer
Roos van der Zwaan has played on the No. 2 court, also with a record of 2-4.
Sophomore transfer
Holly Horsfall has compiled a record of 4-1 (3-1 at No. 3, 1-0 at No. 4). Sophomore
Elsa Pool is 4-1 (1-0 at No. 3 and 3-1 at No. 4). Sophomore
Grace Jennings has posted a record of 3-2 (3-1 at No. 5 and 0-1 at No. 6). Sophomore
Arianna Beltrame has a record of 3-0 at No. 6, while sophomore
Amanda Kilduff is 1-0 on the No. 6 court.
Georgia State enters the weekend with a mark of 3-3. The Panthers are coming off a 6-1 victory over Coastal Carolina. GSU will play at UAB Friday morning before taking on Samford.
Auburn is currently 7-3. The Tigers are coming off a 1-2 showing at the ITA National Team Indoor in Madison, Wisc. Auburn will host Michigan State Saturday at noon before playing Samford.
