BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team will host the Murray State Racers Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Samford Tennis Center.
Samford enters the match with a record of 5-6. The Bulldogs are coming off a 6-1 win over UT Martin Monday afternoon.
Seniors
Ellie Gerlach and
Roos van der Zwaan have held down the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots so far for the Bulldogs. Gerlach is 3-7 (2-4 at No. 1, 1-3 at No. 2), while van der Zwaan is 4-7 (2-3 at No. 1, 2-4 at No. 2).
Holly Horsfall is 6-3 (5-3 at No. 2, 1-0 at No. 4).
Elsa Pool has a record of 5-5 (1-0 at No. 3, 4-5 at No. 4).
Arianna Beltrame has a mark of 5-1 (2-1 at No. 5, 3-0 at No. 6).
Grace Jennings has a record of 4-3 (3-1 at No. 5, 1-2 at No. 6), while
Amanda Kilduff is 1-0 at No. 6.
Murray State is currently 4-4 on the young season. The Racers are coming off a 4-3 win at Arkansas State last Sunday. MSU will play at UAB Friday afternoon before playing at Samford Saturday.
Saturday's match is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start from the Samford Tennis Center. Admission to the match is FREE!
