CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford women's tennis dropped a 5-2 decision at College of Charleston Wednesday afternoon at Patriots Point.
With the loss, Samford falls to 8-6 on the season. College of Charleston improves to 8-7 with the win.
College of Charleston won the doubles matches at No. 1 and No. 2 to pick up the first point of the match.
In singles, Samford claimed wins at No. 1 and No. 3. The Cougars, however, won on courts No. 2, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 to take the 5-2 victory.
Samford will remain in Charleston to take on Richmond Thursday. The match is set for a 1 p.m. (CT) start. A full recap and results will be posted to
