BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Samford women's tennis team fell at home to Furman, 7-0, Friday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center.
 
This loss gives the Bulldogs a 10-10 overall record and a 1-4 Southern Conference record for this season. The Paladins improve to a 21-1 overall record and a 5-0 conference record.
 
The Bulldogs were swept in the three doubles matches as Furman earned the first point of the contest.
 
In singles, Furman swept Samford, winning all six matches to close out the 7-0 win for the Paladins.
 
The Bulldogs have two more matches left until the Southern Conference Tournament, which begins on April 18.
 
Samford will take on SoCon opponent Wofford (11-6, 5-2 SoCon) in Birmingham on Sunday, April 7. The match is set for an 12 p.m. (CT) start and will be the final home match of the season for the Bulldogs.
