BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team hosted its final home event of the fall season in the second Samford Round Robin over the weekend.
 
Samford was joined in the tournament by Troy, Memphis, Western Kentucky and UAB.
 
In singles, Samantha Nanere and Olivia Jablonski led Samford, each posting records of 2-1 for the weekend. Rouxanne Janse Van Rensburg, Alexis Lopez, Sofia Zaprianov, Lindsay Song, Samantha Maras and Ally Hayduk had one singles victory each.
 
In doubles, Nanere and Song led the way with a 2-0 record on the weekend. Van Rensburg and Lopez, Nanere and Jablonski, Zaprianov and Jablonski, and Hayduk and Lauren Waddles had one win each in doubles.
 
Samford will be back in action at the ITA/USTA Southern Regionals in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Oct. 14-17.
