BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After back-to-back wins this past weekend, the Samford women's soccer team now heads to Western Carolina and ETSU for its final road swing of the regular season with the Bulldogs first taking on the Catamounts on Friday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Catamount Athletic Complex. Samford will then face the Buccaneers of ETSU on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
The Bulldogs continued their dominant performance in conference play this past weekend with a 3-1 win over Wofford while posting a 4-0 shutout against the Furman Paladins. Samford now holds an overall record of 9-3-2, 6-0 (SoCon) on its season. Western Carolina captured a 2-1 (OT) victory over Wofford and dropped a 1-0 decision to ETSU for a current record of 8-5-1, 3-2 (SoCon). ETSU sits at 5-3-3, 2-2-1 (SoCon) after its 1-0 win against the Catamounts this past Saturday in Johnson City, Tennessee. The Buccaneers will face Chattanooga this Friday before competing against the Bulldogs.

BULLDOGS TO WATCH
- Senior midfielder Alyssa Frazier continues to be a key piece in Samford's attack with a team-high seven assists while being tied with junior Kylie Gazza in the goals category with both players leading the Bulldogs with five each. Frazier not only excels on the field, but also in the classroom, earning SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week this past Wednesday.
- Junior center back Kylie Gazza is not afraid to make a statement on the offensive front for Samford with five goals on the season. Gazza has also led the Bulldog backline, logging 1,255 minutes on the pitch and aiding in six shutouts so far this season.
- Sophomore defender Ella Simpson has proven to be a threat for Samford on set pieces, scoring her second goal this season off a corner kick in the Bulldog's 4-0 victory over conference rival, Furman. Simpson has started in all 14 games for Samford this season, recording 1,271 minutes and tallying two assists as well.

- Western Carolina has fired off 212 shots with 94 being on goal for a total of 17 goals this season. The Catamounts have found three wins in conference play, defeating The Citadel, Furman, and Wofford. WCU is led offensively by Valentine Pursey who has registered a team-high six goals and two assists this season.
