BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After closing out the regular season with a 3-1 win over Chattanooga, the Samford women's soccer team will host the Mocs once again on Friday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. for the SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals at Shauna Yelton Field.
The Bulldogs defeated the Mocs this past Sunday with a 3-1 final decision at Shauna Yelton Field to go undefeated in conference play. Samford closed out the regular season with an overall record of 12-3-2, 9-0 (SoCon), dropping just three games this season to Auburn, Kennesaw State, and Texas. Chattanooga sits at 6-10-3, 3-5-1 (SoCon) after securing a spot in the SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals, narrowly defeating the Wofford Terriers on Tuesday night in a 5-3 penalty kick shootout.

BULLDOGS TO WATCH
- Super senior Alyssa Frazier has started in all 17 games this season for the Bulldogs, tallying a team-high 19 points with six goals and seven assists. The striker is tied for second in the league in the assists category, while also being tied for second with The Citadel's Suzuka Yosue in game-winning goals with both players registering four.
- Junior Mary Raymond has proven to be a key component in Samford's attack with six goals and four assists for 16 points this year. The midfielder has recorded 38 shots with 22 being on frame, while registering a season-high five shots against the Wofford Terriers. Raymond also scored in Samford's 3-1 over Chattanooga this past week.
- Covid senior Morgan McAslan has been a force for the Bulldogs in goal, starting in all 17 games for a total of 1,583 minutes between the posts. The goalkeeper has posted 57 saves while earning a conference-high seven shutouts on the season.
CHATTANOOGA QUICK LOOKS:
- Chattanooga has competed in 19 games on its season, recording 14 goals after firing off 212 shots with 100 being on frame for the Mocs. UTC has also logged 72 corner kicks, 117 saves, and 178 fouls for nine yellow cards.
- The Mocs are led offensively by sophomore midfielder/forward Mackenzie Smith. The Tennessee native has captured 10 points on the season after registering three goals and a team-high four assists. Junior Samantha Shaw is also an offensive threat for Chattanooga with the midfielder locking in four goals and one assist.
