BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team returns to its home court once again to face UAB Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 1:30 p.m. and Murray State on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 12 p.m.
 
Samford women's tennis now sits at 4-4 on the season after winning its last two matches against Nicholls State and South Alabama. Cross-town rival, UAB, has a current record of 2-5, while Murray State enters competition this week with a record of 1-3.

BULLDOGS TO WATCH:
	- Rouxanne Janse Van Rensburg was named the Southern Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week after going 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles in leading the Bulldogs to a pair of wins over Nicholls State and South Alabama last week. She now has an overall singles record of 6-2 at court one.
- Natalia De Ugarte and Samantha Nanere both have records of 4-2 in singles play. The pair have recorded victories against Louisiana-Monroe, UT-Martin, Nicholls State, and South Alabama.
OPPONENT QUICK LOOKS:
	- UAB has started out its season with a difficult schedule. The five losses the Blazers have recorded are from Alabama (x2), Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, and South Alabama. UAB did defeat fellow conference school, Mercer University, 5-2 and captured its second victory against Alabama A&M, 7-0.
- Murray State has only collected one win this season so far with a 7-0 victory over North Alabama. The Racers have lost their last three matches with two losses against Missouri and one against Middle Tennessee.
