COLLEGE STATION, Texas. – The Samford baseball team was swept in a doubleheader at Texas A&M, falling by scores of 21-4 and 5-2 Saturday at Blue Bell Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Texas A&M scored two runs in the first inning and three runs in the second, Samford plated a pair of runs in the top of the third inning to cut the lead to 5-2. Garrett Howe singled to drive in Taylor Garris, and later Towns King walked with the bases loaded to bring home Max Pinto to bring Samford to within three runs.
- Texas A&M then added three runs each in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings, and then one in the seventh to push the Aggies' lead to18-2.
- In the top of the eighth inning, Graham Dvorak was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring home Ryan Crockett to make the score 18-3. Colton Ledbetter then scored on a ground out by Andrew Bennett to cut the lead to 18-4.
- Texas A&M added three final runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to make the final score 21-4.
ON THE MOUND
- Jesse McCord (0-3) pitched 3.0 innings, giving up eight runs, seven earned, on seven hits to take the loss for Samford.
- Texas A&M's Chandler Jozwiak (1-1) pitched 3.0 innings in relief, allowing no runs on two hits to earn the win for the Aggies.
NOTABLES
- Garrett Howe went 2-for-5 with an RBI to lead Samford at the plate.
- Taylor Smith went 4-for-5 with a double, two home runs and four RBI to lead Texas A&M.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Texas A&M plated one run in the second inning and two more in the third for an early 3-0 lead.
- The Aggies scored a run each in the fifth and sixth innings to stretch their lead to 5-0.
- In the top of the eighth inning, Will David singled up the middle to drive in Ryan Crockett to cut the lead to 5-1.
- Crockett singled to drive in Garrett Howe to cut the lead to 5-2 in the top of the ninth inning.
ON THE MOUND
- Zach Hester (0-1) pitched 4.0 innings, allowing three runs, just one earned, on four hits to take the loss for Samford.
- Jonathan Childress (2-1) earned the win for the Aggies, tossing 7.2 innings, giving up one run on three hits.
NOTABLES
- Ryan Crockett led Samford in game two, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.
- Will David also drove in a run for the Bulldogs.
- For Texas A&M in game two, Mikey Hoehner went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
