CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford women's tennis posted back-to-back wins after rebounding against the College of Charleston, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Tennis Center at Patriots Point.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve their overall record to 9-7, while the Cougars fall to 4-8 on their season.
Samford captured both wins in doubles competition to take the early advantage over the College of Charleston.
Alex Koniaev and
Ally Hayduk claimed their first win of the season over Clara Errard and Anastasia Palaska with a final score of 6-1 at the No.1 spot.
Samantha Marasa and
Lauren Waddles followed on court two with a 6-3 victory Lily Labiche and Ava Turner
To open up singles play,
Lauren Waddles added another point for Samford at the No. 4 spot with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Ava Turner.
Alex Koniaev would secure the win for the Bulldogs with a 7-5, 7-6 victory over Lily Labiche for her first in at No. 1 spot this season.
The Bulldogs will continue on the road next week as they head to Greensboro, North Carolina for their next match against UNCG on Friday, Mar. 19 at 12 p.m. to open up conference play.
