BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –The Samford women's soccer team is looking to continue its time in the win column this weekend as the Bulldogs head to South Carolina to compete against Wofford on Friday, Mar. 19 and Furman on Sunday, Mar. 21.
With back-to-back wins at home this past weekend, the Samford women's soccer team now holds an overall record of 2-1-2, 2-0-1 (SoCon). Wofford went straight into conference play this season for a current record of 2-1-1, while Furman sits undefeated on its season with four-straight wins. The Paladins will host Chattanooga the Friday before taking the field with the Bulldogs.

BULLDOGS TO WATCH
- Taylor Yount continues to be an offensive threat for Samford, scoring two goals this past weekend for a total of three this season to lead the Bulldogs.
- Alex Bice and Ella Simpson also made the most of their opportunities in front of goal this past weekend with both players securing two goals each.
- Morgan McAslan produced one solo shutout and one combined shutout to receive this week's SoCon Defensive Player of the Week recognition. McAslan has started all five games for Samford and has registered a total of 10 saves.
OPPONENT QUICK LOOKS:
- Wofford has captured two wins so far this season with a 2-0 victory over the Citadel and a 4-2 win over VMI. The Terriers also tied UNCG 0-0 while dropping a 2-1 decision to the Mercer Bears.
- Mia Bookhard leads Wofford offensively with three goals on seven shots after playing in all four games for the Terriers. In goal, Maria Mon has started three-of-four games for Wofford, registering 335 minutes between the posts while totaling 16 saves this season.
- Furman has not seen one loss with the Paladins recording four-straight wins. This past weekend, Furman defeated VMI by a final score of 2-0 while locking in a slight 1-0 victory over the UNCG Spartans.
- Isabella Gutierrez is a key player for the Paladins with three goals and 14 shots, nine of which were on frame. Addison Corn and Nora Sampson split time in goal for Furman with Corn logging seven saves and Sampson with four this season.
