TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Samford baseball team saw its eight-game win streak come to an end in a 19-3 loss at Alabama Tuesday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Samford took an early lead when Tyler McManus singled through the left side of the infield to drive in Garrett Howe for a 1-0 Samford lead in the top of the first inning.
- In the bottom of the third inning, Alabama tied the game at 1-1 when Sam Praytor was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
- The Crimson Tide took control of the game with seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take an 8-1 lead.
- Alabama added six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 14-1.
- Samford plated a run in the top of the seventh, but Alabama answered with five runs in the bottom of the inning to push its lead to 19-2.
- The Bulldogs added another run in the top of the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by Ayrton Schafer to cut the Alabama lead to 19-3.
ON THE MOUND
- Billy Creger (0-1) gave up three runs on one hit to take the loss on the mound for Samford.
- Grayson Hitt (2-3) tossed 4.0 innings, allowing one run on two hits to earn the win for the Crimson Tide.

- McManus drove in one run, going 1-for-2 at the plate for Samford.
- Schafer and Graham Dvorak drove in a run each for the Bulldogs.
