BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Bulldogs of Samford University continue their four-game road swing on Thursday, Sep. 2 at 7 p.m. as they travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to face the Alabama Crimson Tide. This will be followed by another match on Sunday, Sep. 5 against fellow SEC school, Ole Miss, at 2 p.m. at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.
Samford closed out last week with a 2-1 win over UAB and a 2-1 loss against Kennesaw State for an overall record of 1-2-1 on the season. Alabama enters the week 3-1 after finding wins against Jacksonville State, Lamar, and Southern Miss, while Ole Miss holds an overall record of 2-0-1. The Rebels are set to compete against South Alabama before taking the field against Samford.

BULLDOGS TO WATCH
- Mary Raymond has started in all four competitions for the Bulldogs this season, logging a total of 235 minutes on the pitch. The junior midfielder was an essential playmaker in the Red Mountain Rivalry match against UAB this past Thursday, assisting both goals in Samford's 2-1 victory over the Blazers.
- Taylor Yount has tallied one goal and one assist for the Bulldogs this season at the forward position. The junior standout assisted Zoë Perrin's game-tying goal against Middle Tennessee State, while scoring her 15th career goal against UAB.
- Super senior Alyssa Frazier continues to be an offensive threat for the Samford frontline, scoring her first of goal of the season and 10th of her career against UAB. Frazier's goal from outside the 18-yard was also ranked number four on Sports Center Top Ten Plays, earning her national recognition for her performance.
OPPONENT QUICK LOOKS:
- Alabama has tallied 10 goals at the start of its season, while logging 77 shot attempts with 36 being on goal. The Crimson Tide also plays with an aggressive mindset, earning 45 fouls and four yellow cards.
- Transfer graduate student Ashlynn Serepca and sophomore Kate Henderson are the top goal scorers for Alabama with both players recording two each on the season. Serepca found goals against Jacksonville State and Southern Miss, while Henderson scored back-to-back goals against Lamar University.
