SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford senior
Seth Wolfe was named the Southern Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week when the league released its weekly track and field awards on Wednesday afternoon.
Competing in the Vulcan Invite, hosted by UAB last Saturday, Wolfe turned in an impressive performance. Wolfe won the men's weight throw with a distance of 18.29 meters. He also placed 10
th in the shot put at 12.32 meters in the meet.
This week, Samford will host the Samford University Multi (Jan. 20-21), Samford University Invite (Jan. 21) and Samford University Open (Jan. 22). All meets will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
