CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The third-seeded Samford women's tennis team was eliminated from the Southern Conference Tournament with a 4-0 loss to the second-seeded and 74^th-ranked ETSU Bucs in the semifinal round Friday morning.
 
Samford ends its season with a record of 13-9. ETSU advances to Saturday's championship round with a record of 17-8.
 
ETSU won the doubles point, taking the doubles matches at No. 1 and No. 3 for a 1-0 lead. At No. 2 doubles, Samford's Lindsay Song and Olivia Jablonski defeated ETSU's Emilia Alfaro and Mayya Gorbunova, 6-4.
 
In singles, ETSU claimed wins at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 to close out the 4-0 win. The matches at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 6 were unfinished.
