Bulldog Women Set For NCAA South Regional Friday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Samford women's cross-country team will compete in the NCAA South Regional Friday morning at Mark Bostick Golf Course on the campus of the University of Florida.
The women's 6K race is set to start at 7:30 a.m. (CT). Fans can watch the meet, or follow along online at the following links: LIVE RESULTS, LIVE STREAM.
Seven runners from the women's team will be competing in Friday's race. Adeline Haisch, Harper McGowan, Sinkenesh Parker, Edie Smith, Gabbie Hoots, Katie Keller and Macie Pfeuffer will represent Samford in the race. The top two teams in each of the nine Regionals automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships, while 13 teams will receive at-large bids.
Samford is coming off a strong showing at the Southern Conference Championships last month where the women's team finished second.
The Bulldog women's team was led at the SoCon Championships by Haisch, coming in 12th with a time of 17:40.3. McGowan placed 15th at 17:54.8 and Parker finished 16th at 17:57.2 Smith came in 18th with a time of 18:01.1, while Hoots was 19th, finishing the race in 18:05.9. Keller placed 23rd at 18:31.1, while Pfeuffer finished 25th with a time of 18:21.6.
