SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Senior Hannah Daffin of the Samford Women's Track and Field Team has been named the Southern Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Daffin notched a pair of top-10 performances at the USA Jaguar Invitational on Sunday, Feb. 5 in Birmingham, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the women's shot put.  
The Mobile, Ala. native also placed sixth in the women's weight throw on Sunday.
 
The Bulldogs will host the Samford Bulldog Invite next Friday and the Samford Bulldog Open next Saturday. Both meets will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex. A small contingent of Bulldogs will also head to Nashville to participate in the Vanderbilt Invite on Friday and Saturday.
