TUCSON, Ariz. – Jacob Cravey of the Samford Baseball Team was named to the Collegiate Baseball All-America Second Team on Thursday.
Cravey's selection marks the first Bulldog to earn All-America status since Sonny DiChia was named to the Freshman All-America Team squad by Collegiate Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association 2019.
Cravey, the 2023 Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year, boasts a record of 9-2 with a 3.19 earned run average. He currently ranks fourth in the nation with 121 strikeouts.
The Andalusia, Ala. native ranks third in program history with 220 career strikeouts, with his 121 punchouts this season marking the second-most in a season in program history.
The Bulldogs take on No. 2 seed Southern Miss in the opening round of the Auburn Regional on Friday, June 2 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) from Plainsman Park.
