BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team got its fall season off to a strong start by hosting the first of two Samford Round Robin tournaments this weekend at the Samford Tennis Center.
 
Samford was joined in the tournament by Central Arkansas, Troy and Tulane.
 
In singles, Ally Hayduk and Noelle Mauro both posted records of 3-0. Meredith Taylor went 2-0 for the weekend, while Emily Surcey, Samantha Maras and Margaret Jaraczewski each went 2-1 in singles.
 
On the doubles side, Hayduk and Taylor, and Surcey and Jaraczewski each posted 2-1 records.
 
Samford will next compete in the ITA Southern Regional, hosted by LSU, Oct. 5-8 in Baton Rouge, La. A full list of Samford's results from this weekend's Samford Round Robin is listed below.
