BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford goalkeeper
Zoe Clevely was named to Top Drawer Soccer's
National Team of the Week, and for the second week in a row, she was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday afternoon.
Clevely posted a pair of shutouts of SEC opponents in Samford's two games last week. For the week, she played 180:00 in goal, saving a total of seven shots.
Clevely saved three shots in the team's 0-0 tie at Ole Miss Thursday evening. In Sunday's home game against fifth-ranked Alabama, she saved four shots in another scoreless tie.
This week, Samford will play at in-state rival Troy Thursday night at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs will then host Kennesaw State for the annual Shauna's House game Sunday at 1 p.m. at Shauna Yelton Field. Admission to all home games is FREE.
