SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Samford women's golf team is currently in first place after the first two rounds of the Terrier Intercollegiate held Monday at The Carolina Country Club.
Samford finished with a two-round team total of 607 (308-299) to lead the 13-team field. Queens University of Charlotte is in second place with a score of 611 (304-307).
Individually for Samford,
Gabi Nicastro leads the 71-player field with a two-round score of three-under-par 141 (73-68).
Grace Engel is tied for 11
th at 154 (78-76), while
Anika Richards is tied for 22
nd with a score of 158 (74-84).
Christian Williams is tied for 26
th after firing a two-round score of 159 (83-76) and
Morgan Franklin is tied for 37
th at 162 (83-79).
The teams will conclude the tournament with the third and final round Tuesday morning. Tee times are set for 7:45 a.m. (CT), and fans can follow the scores online at the following link:
