Samford Volleyball Announces 2024 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – With the first serve of the season just around the corner, head coach Keylor Chan announced the Samford Volleyball team's 2024 schedule on Thursday afternoon.

The 2024 slate is highlighted by 10 regular-season home games and an exhibition contest against Kennesaw State on Saturday, August 24.

Samford opens the regular season with an all-Bulldog battle at home on Aug. 30 against SEC-foe Mississippi State. A showdown with Alcorn State on Aug. 31 will conclude the opening weekend.

Following the season-opening weekend at home, the Bulldogs will hit the road for the entire month of September as Samford is slated to participate in the Evansville Invite (Sept. 6-7), the Baylor Invite (Sept. 13-15) and the UAB-hosted Alabama Challenge (Sept. 19-21) to close out non-conference play.

The opening of Southern Conference play closes out September as Samford heads to Wofford on Sept. 27 and Chattanooga for a Sept. 29 contest.

October brings the Bulldogs back to the Pete Hanna Center for a total of six SoCon showdowns beginning on Oct. 4 with Western Carolina to open the longest home stretch of the season. Samford will welcome ETSU (Oct. 5) and Mercer (Oct. 10) to Birmingham before closing out the homestand with Furman on Oct. 11.

Following the homestand, The Bulldogs will travel to the Carolinas for matches at The Citadel on Oct. 18 and UNCG on Oct. 19.

Samford closes out October with a pair of home matches against Wofford and Chattanooga on the weekend of Oct. 25 before spending Halloween in Cullowhee, North Carolina for a showdown with the Catamounts of Western Carolina.

A three-game road swing opens in November before Samford returns for Senior Weekend contests against UNCG (Nov. 15) and The Citadel (Nov. 16) to polish off the regular season.

The Bulldogs will look to recapture the SoCon Tournament crown and return to the NCAA Tournament starting on Nov. 22 in Asheville, North Carolina.
