GAME NOTES--SAMFORD VS. NOTRE DAME (PDF)
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford soccer team will play host to the 15th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish Sunday evening at 6 p.m. at Shauna Yelton Field.
The Bulldogs enter Sunday night's game with a record of 1-0. Samford opened the 2024 season with an impressive 3-1 win over Tennessee Tech Thursday night.

Samford head coach
Todd Yelton is in his 23rd season in charge of the program. He has a career record of 317-144-65, and he is Samford's all-time winningest coach with a mark of 277-112-61 in his time with the Bulldogs.
Notre Dame enters Sunday night's game with a mark of 0-1 after dropping a 2-1 loss to Michigan State Thursday evening. Annabelle Chuckwu scored the Irish's lone goal in the 10th minute of Thursday night's contest.
Samford and Notre Dame will be meeting for the first time ever in soccer. Samford has an all-time record of 2-8 against the current members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Bulldogs have played the following ACC teams: Duke (0-1), Florida State (0-4), Miami (0-2), N.C. State (1-0), Virginia (0-1) and Wake Forest (1-0).
