SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford sophomore Gavin Isbell was named the Southern Conference Men's Golfer of the Week when the league released its weekly golf awards Wednesday afternoon.

Isbell led Samford in the Turtle Point Invitational this week. The sophomore tied for fourth in the 75-player field with a three-round score of 207 (66-71-70).
Samford will next compete in the Florida Atlantic Invitational, October 27-28 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
