BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford men's basketball team returns to the Pete Hanna Center Sunday night as they host Cornell. The game is set to tip at 6 p.m. as the Bulldogs enter the game with a 4-6 record while Cornell enters with a 5-4 mark on the season.

The Samford Bulldogs return home for just their third home game of the season at the Pete Hanna Center against Cornell. The Big Red hit a three at the buzzer which gave them the 88-86 victory.

The Dogs are coming off a defeat on Friday night at Virginia Commonwealth by a score of 83-57. Samford led for much of the opening half against the Rams, before being outscored 49-26 in the second half. Samford starting center Dylan Faulkner was the best player on the floor for either team against VCU as he recorded a career-high 22 points and tied his high with 9 rebounds as he went 8-of-13 from the field on the night. After making double-digit threes in their first five games, the Dogs have now shot below 32 percent in five-straight contests. Cornell has hit double-digit threes in seven of nine games this season.

Jadin Booth leads Samford in scoring, 17.3 points per game, but hasn't broken double figures in his past three contests. Freshman guard Isaiah Campbell-Finch earned the start and scored 10 points against VCU on Friday night. Last time the Dogs were in the Pete Hanna Center was Nov. 19 when they fell to FGCU, 77-62. Jadin Booth and Dylan Faulkner were named to the All-SoCon Preseason Team for the Bulldogs.

Cornell enters the game with a 5-4 record on the season. The Big Red are coming off back-to-back defeats at George Mason and Towson in their previous two contests. Cornell is 2-4 on the road so far this season. Head coach Jon Jaques is in his second season with the Big Red, leading Cornell to an 18-win season last year. Cornell was picked to finish 3rd in the Preseason Ivy League Coaches Poll, and has three players who average double-figures, led by Cooper Norad, who scores 19.9 points per game.
